We decided to add this new feature to the book store, to tell you about additions to the store, plus any new information that comes along. We hope you'll check this page as we update it regularly.

Design Changes: We're making some changes to the overall look and layout of the store. We hope these changes will make browsing easier, and the pages more attractive. You may note some differences in the pages, and hope you will bear with us as we renovate.

DVD's Two films on DVD are ones we recommend: Black Hawk Down (2002) and We Were Soldiers (2002). Both of these films are powerful testiments to the courage of our military

New Sections - Terrorism: Since September 11, the face of war has changed. Today we face enemies that challenge not only our military, but each citizen as well. We decided to add this section to give readers the opportunity to learn more about the threats we face and the plans to combat them. We believe that it is important for Americans to educate themselves in these areas as we deal with these issues. We've also added some new books to our Military Strategy section that discuss some of the newer developments in this area.

Journalism and War Is another new section we have added. We hope you check it out.

Recommencations: We came across an interesting book, Goodbye Vietnam by Robert W. Wood recently. Wood was a Marine in Vietnam and writes a compelling series of short "mini stories" about his experiences. These prose rememberances are both disturbing and poignant. In the style of Tim O'Brien, the author cuts to the quick with a haunting truth.

Previous recommendations include Lost Soldiers by James Webb. Once again, Jim Webb has shown that he is not only a powerful writer, but one who has been able to articulately present the Vietnam experience. This novel is a moving remembrance of the effect of war on those who fight it.

Another recommendation this month is In Harm's Way: The Sinking of the USS Indianapolis and the Extraordinary Story of Its Survivors by Doug Stanton. This is a fascinating story of a largely unknown event of World War II documented by a journalist who brings this important story to light. Highly readable, and worthwhile.

We hope you will continue to check out our newsletter regularly. Thanks.
