Founded in 1901, The Junior League is an organization of women committed to voluntarism and developing the potentials of women. Their purpose is exclusively educational and charitable and there 294 chapters with over 170,000 members worldwide. Since 1943 the Junior League cookbook has been used as a fund raising mechanism for community and charitable projects. There are over 200 cookbooks in print.
